Biography

Sofía was born in Mexico City in 1988 and has established herself as a versatile and talented artist. Her work is a profound exploration of the interaction between the natural and the artificial, skillfully blurring the boundaries between them. She has a passion for watercolor painting and manages to capture this interaction in a fascinating way.

Sofía offers a unique perspective in her pieces, allowing us to immerse ourselves in worlds seen through the eyes of other species. Her education includes a Master’s degree in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from Yale University in 2011. She has participated in numerous exhibitions, including at Galería Karen Huber, Zona MACO, Field Projects in New York, the How Museum in Shanghai, and more.
