Biography

Fernando is a multidisciplinary Mexican artist currently residing in Mexico City. His work is based on painting and sound. Since he was a child, he studied the arts and continued his university studies in communication and music.

His pictorial work, with vibrant colors and various techniques, evokes the primal essence and explores the unconscious, the human figure, the power of color, and the stories that surround it.

The latest series presented here began to take shape in December of last year and delves into abstraction by combining sound with painting and vice versa, challenging the boundaries of artistic disciplines. The basic palette was created in black and white and Fernando used untamed tools such as sticks, threads, and brooms to create the initial marks and from there added color and strokes. Materials such as cement, sand, and salt generate textures that breathe life into the landscapes and the characters that inhabit them.
